The City Manager serves as the chief administrative officer of the City and is responsible for the proper administration of all the affairs of the City of Weimar including Budget/Finance, Public Works, Municipal Court, Electric Distribution, Water, Waste Water, Solid Waste, Police, Fire/EMS, City Attorney, City Secretary, Code Enforcement; assures that all laws and City ordinances are enforced; manages, directs and coordinates activities of all department heads and subordinate officers and employees; and performs other duties assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred, in Public Administration or business related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
A minimum of 3-5 years increasing responsible experience in municipal government administration either as a City Manager, Assistant City Manager or Major Department Head equivalent size or larger city.
Must have strong interpersonal skills to include written and oral communication skills.
Must be computer literate.
Expertise in negotiation, coordination and delegation.
